Location: 2 days per week at the office in Amersfoort

What is the project about? The TV world is changing. The demand for online streaming is increasing, and interactive television (iTV) is evolving accordingly. The company has expertise in both new and existing technologies, giving them a unique position to lead the TV industry. The responsibility for iTV innovation and operations lies within a unit comprising approximately 50 colleagues. The unit is divided into three clusters, and you will be working within the Customer & Content cluster.

In this rapidly changing world, we are looking for an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to work with their team on the organization’s future. Together with a motivated team, you will drive innovation and develop new applications for iTV. You will utilize new technology to support and engage customers with enhanced and innovative TV viewing experiences. Audio, video, encoding, broadcast, and IP infrastructure come together in one product: iTV.

Job requirements As a DevOps Engineer iTV, you will contribute to:

  • Developing, renewing, or maintaining platforms and applications for i-TV services.
  • Setting up monitoring and, where possible, automating it with your team.
  • Operating and keeping these platforms up-to-date in terms of security.
  • Participating in periodic standby duty.

Moreover, you have or are:

  • A true team player with a bachelor’s degree who can work independently and share knowledge and information.
  • Possess an Agile mindset.
  • Curious and a bit headstrong.
  • Passionate about the TV world both within and outside the company.
  • Experience with automation and scripting is a plus.
  • Quick to grasp new tooling and technologies and apply them effectively.
  • Familiar with cloud integration, GitHub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Ansible.
  • Capable of software development (e.g., Java/.NET).

Additionally, they are willing to invest in you. If you don’t have all the required knowledge and skills yet but are open to obtaining them through training and courses, they are interested in talking with you.

About the client: Together with colleagues, you will be responsible for the supply, distribution, and encoding of the mobile network for the company’s customers. You will work agilely in scrum teams, developing and maintaining various platforms. Additionally, you will engage in research and innovation involving the latest technologies in both the network and TV domains.
